People & user lookup
A person appears in this list after webcount.login(), a zero-code identity source, or a server-side bind. The web visitors report counts visitor ids, and whether those survive overnight depends on the privacy tier; here one login id is one person across web, App, and mini program.
Open a row for the profile. The left side shows identity links, segments, tags, and accounts. The right side is a day-by-day timeline. View users in segments and analyses lands here with the filter kept in the URL.
Metrics & definitions
| Column | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Person | Switch to device or visitor. The list dedupes on that identity |
| Events, 30 days | Person-days | Person identity sums the last 30 days. Device and visitor identities fall back to events in the window |
| Test users | Hidden | Turn on Include test users to see them. Mark or clear the flag on the profile; marked people drop out of analysis by default |
Search matches a display-name prefix or a login id. Email and phone must be entered in full; TapCub hashes them before lookup. The timeline merges bound devices. Activity from before identification, when person_id is still empty, is labeled as an anonymous segment. Filter the timeline by pageview, event, error, frustration, or identity. If an event has a replay URL, the timeline links to it.
How to use it
- Turn on identified mode (the console has no switch yet; contact support to turn it on), then call
webcount.login()on a successful login and pass a name if you have one. - Narrow the list with a segment or rules, and sort by Last active, Newest, or Events (30d).
- Open a person, check devices and login ids, then read the platform field on the timeline.
Rules use the same conditions as segments. See Segments. How identity is stitched together is in Visitors, users & identity.
Access & limits
Owners, admins, and analysts can view the list and mark test users. The Free plan cannot turn on identified mode; Pro and above can. Without identification this page stays empty. Email and phone are shown as a domain or the last four digits, and follow property masking.
FAQ
Why is someone on the visitors report but not here? They have not been identified. Anonymous traffic is counted and not profiled. See Visitors.
Why does one person have several devices? Those devices share a login id, so the timeline merges them. To detach one device, use Identity mapping.
User properties & tags
User properties sit on an identified person and describe who that person is; event properties describe what happened once. Anonymous visitors do not have this profile.
The dictionary is at ConsoleAll-platform analyticsDataProperty dictionary. Tags share a page with segments: ConsoleAll-platform analyticsUsersSegments & tags, on the Tags tab. Current values for one person are on the profile in People & user lookup.
Metrics & definitions
| Source | How it is written | Typical fields |
|---|---|---|
| Login profile | webcount.login() or zero-code identity | Name, username, email, phone, avatar |
| Server profile | profile_set, profile_set_once | Plan or membership fields only the server knows |
| Tags | Rule, first/last, top event, import, SQL | One value per person, recomputed or imported |
The dictionary scans person profiles, event properties from the last 7 days, and account traits. It infers a type and classes each key as direct identifier, indirect identifier, or non-personal. Direct identifiers are masked in lists and exports by default. After you save a type or class, later scans do not overwrite that choice. Values that fail validation can be inspected in data quality quarantine.
A tag turns a condition into one reusable field for segments and filters. There are five kinds: a fixed value when a rule matches; the first or last value of an event property; the most frequent event name in a window; a pasted import; or restricted SQL. SQL may read only the event, session, person, and autocapture views, and must return a subject column and a value column.
How to use it
- Pass a display name at login. Email and phone are encrypted or dropped according to the profile setting.
- Write plan or tier from the server profile API, not from a browser event.
- Open the dictionary, click Scan now, and confirm masking on direct identifiers.
- For a value such as “top category in 30 days”, create a top-event or first/last tag instead of editing the profile by hand.
Types, enums, and blocking live in Property definitions.
Access & limits
Owners, admins, and analysts can view and edit definitions and compute tags. Masking applies to every role and uses the stricter of the property rule and the member policy. Without identified mode there is no person profile, and tags have no one to label.
FAQ
Why did a scan reset my type? Only saving counts as a manual review. After that, scans update counts and samples only, not type or class.
Why does tag SQL fail? The statement must be read-only and return subject and value. Tables outside the allowed views are rejected.
