Open a project and choose Web analytics. The sidebar has three groups, Web analytics, Behavior, and Monitoring, plus live chat and configuration at the bottom. The agent-only role does not see these reports.

Where to start
- If you have no data yet, follow Web analytics quickstart, then open Realtime and confirm a visit arrived.
- Read Overview, then open Pages, Sources, or Goals for the question you actually have.
- When a number looks wrong, read Web metric definitions first, then check whether a filter narrowed the range. See Filters, compare, share & export.
Terms
- A visitor is not the same as a user: Visitors, users & identity.
- How one visit is split into sessions: Sessions.
- What an event is: Events & properties.
- Counting by visitor, device, or user: Counting modes.
Data report
It reads the same daily aggregates as Overview, laid out as one row per date, so you can check a day, export it, or hand the table to someone else.
ConsoleWeb analyticsReportsWhat the report shows
Each row is one time bucket. Columns are chosen from the metric menu, and that choice is stored in the link, so someone opening the link sees the same columns. Available columns include pageviews, visitors, sessions, new visitors, bounce rate, average session duration, pages per session, engaged rate, events, conversions, conversion rate, revenue, and script errors. Definitions are in Web metric definitions.
In the total row, counts are summed. Rates and averages add the numerator and the denominator separately, then divide. The visitor total sums daily visitors, so one person on three days counts three times. That matches the visitor card on Overview. When the range is 93 days or less, the table also shows visitors deduplicated across the whole range.
Turn on Show change to see each cell against the comparison period. Comparison is off, previous period, or the same period last week. Buckets are hour, day, week, month, or year. Hourly is limited to 7 days. Yearly needs a span of at least 365 days.
How to use it
Click a row to open Overview for that row’s dates. A week, month, or year row covers the whole bucket. Subscribe opens notification settings on the project, where daily or weekly delivery is configured. Export is covered in Filters, compare, share & export.
Limits
The web analytics header does not switch the counting unit. This report counts visitor ids. Device and user counting are switched in behavior analytics. See Counting modes. Viewers can read the table; they cannot change notification subscriptions.
