This repository has no plugin for WordPress, Shopify, or any other site builder, and there is no plugin named TapCub to look for. The methods are the same as on any website; the full reference is JavaScript (w.js).
Install
<script async src="https://YOUR_ORIGIN/w.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_KEY"></script>| Tool | Where | Note |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress | Theme header or header custom HTML | Once in the global template |
| Shopify | Theme layout head | A checkout page isolated by the platform will not see this tag |
| Webflow / Wix | Site-wide custom code | Site-wide, not once per page |
Hexo, Hugo, Jekyll, Ghost, and Typecho take the same line in the global template.
Initialize
The script starts itself. If the theme uses hash routing, add data-hash="true" on that same tag. Draft and admin preview URLs can be skipped with data-exclude on the same tag, for example data-exclude="/admin/*,/preview".
Pageviews
The script sends a pageview on the first load and on later in-site URL changes. Single-page themes are in Pageviews & SPAs.
Events
webcount.track('purchase', { revenue: 19.9 });Front-end calls suit browsing actions such as button clicks. Order amounts are better sent from the server. See Server events & log import.
Identity
After a member signs in, call webcount.login in the browser; server-rendered templates have no webcount. The method exists only after the identity script loads.
Limits
At most 20 properties, and event names up to 100 characters. Local previews are not sent by default.
Errors
If a preview shows no request, confirm the shared header actually prints the tag and that data-site is no longer a placeholder. If the theme caches HTML per page, clear that cache after you change the header. A collect response does not by itself mean the event is stored. Check the realtime report as in Verify your installation. Do not add a second script for chat. See Chat widget (w-chat.js).
